Day 5: Rest In Peace [Fan's Tribute]

Day 5...
Sadly the last day of the tribute ends today, but the whole tribute and week was not meant to be just a "weekly only" thing, Doc died in 2007, and his name is still active from the lips of his family, Black knights, Westcoast Killa Beez, fans, and anybody that knew him personally or through his music. This tribute was meant to refresh and remind everyone to appreciate life and hold on to what is here and now, and never forget what was or could have been. Wu-International shout outs everybody that has contributed directly and indirectly, through reading the tributes, or adding on to it.... Doc Doom is gone but never forgotten.

There are really no fans out there like the Wu fans, and We say this with pride and content as the legacy the Wu has built and the cult following it has is really uncomparable  to none: It has to be the royal family of hip-hop, a family tree that the Black Knights branch off from. While the family and friends miss Doc, the fans also mourn and miss the musical contribute Doc Doom has made and would still be making if still alive. We have gathered comments from Wu-Corp (2007 and this year) and other relevant sites from fans in Tokyo, Africa, Europe, Australia, USA of course and everywhere a Killa Bee fan lurks to compile and end this farewell tribute with fan's comments to Doc Doom. May his soul rest in peace, its Knights or Nothin'!!  Look out for the Black Knights album "All Skillz No Luck" sometime this year. Enjoy...

Black Knights - one of the most popular groups in Russia, even though a long silence, fans want to hear the new album! And very pleased to hear Doc Doom on it! It's unfortunate to realize that many talented people leave this world young... sometimes it seems that God wants to surround himself with the best people, and Deshawn really was the best and remain the best forever!!! Doc will always be the Black Knight! And we must keep our memory of him ... This is our main mission!!!

What impressed me most back in the day ( and still to this day ) is the talent Doc showed us behind the boards as a producer. Besides being a dope MC, he definitely knew what he was doing when producing too. Just listen to the sound of  "Dirt up"and to the way the harmonies were put together ... classic stuff in my opinion. Then listen again to that drumroll on "Rollin" , sick beat , period. A shame he never got the chance to show us what he was capable of to the fullest ... Rest In Peace Deshawn

That's really sad, Black Knights has (Doc Doom had) their own style, and though a lot of people disliked it, he was a part of a group that keeps the Wu locked on the West Coast. As already mentioned, Black Knight seemed like a group with 'lotta potential, and this is horrible news. Today I learned that Myalansky of The Syndicate, although there have been many rumours, is still alive and well, which is amazing news for me who thought that Myalansky (+The Syndicate) where over and out. Wu and Hip-Hop has already lost too many peeps, especially because of gun shots. Hope Wu-tang, rap and rest of the world starts to react to these senseless killings. R.I.P. DOC DOOM

Just found out now. I registered to say peace and condolences go to the family. I'm a fan of Wu and affiliates including Black Knights. A great mc from the material I heard- got tunes on my mp3. Thanks Doc Doom for delivering the way I liked bars to be delivered and the lyrical entertainment you gave me and fans far more hardcore than myself once again condolences to the family.

Rather I know 'em or not, when a Brother is killed or murdered. It hurts us all one way or another. Man, them bullets have no eyes or ears, just direction.
It's a tough lost and may God bless his family, fans, friends, and supporters. I send my prayers.

Doc Doom was one of the West Coast's finest, I hope to see some of his unused verses and unreleased songs come out some day in future. He is dead but his words and music lives on.

A fan of Doc Doom and Black Knights ever since I heard them on the Swarm compilation, decided to do this tribute as like the rest of the fallen soldiers like Poetic from Gravediggaz only the ones who were close to them and the fans keep their names alive.  They both deserve the same recognition as 2Pac, Biggie and Ol' Dirty Bastard as they all contributed evenly to the game, touched everybody's life through their music globally and continue to do so today. Rest In Peace to Doc
