Peace, Doc Doom was like a son to me...

"When U Think Of Doc doom's Life On Earth, and all those loving years;
Because you are only human, they are bound bring you tears,

But do not be afraid to cry, it doesn't relieve the pain;
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain,

I am sure that Doc Doom would tell you all that ALLAH has planned;
But if
he was to tell you, you probably wouldn't understand,

O
ne thing is certain, though Doc Doom's life on Earth is not over;
Doc Doom is closer to you now, than he was before,

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time,

It was always his philosophy, and I am sure Doc Doom would like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give back to you,

If you can help somebody who is in trouble or in pain;
Then
you can say to yourself at night "my day was not in vain",

And now Doc Doom is contented, that Doc's life was worthwhile;
knowing as he passed along the way, Doc Doom made somebody smile,

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand as Doc Doom would to yourself.. "

- Popa Wu

I want the fans to remember him as a loving compassionate person, just remember we all make mistakes, and that doesn't make you exempt because your famous, remember the fun DeShawn, the bright DeShawn,  cherish and embrace those good moments like when he tried to dive off the stage into the crowd but no one caught him, that was funny. every time you think about him a smile should come across your face........

- LaMonica Davis
[Doc Doom's Sister]

Doc doom was one of the founders of the Black Knights and was a master at his craft, We didn't meet over a bowl of soup, he was one of the big homies from the click in the streets way before we started the group.

All the times were memorable with Doc Doom, he was off the chain but one of the most memorable moments for me personally was the welcome home Doc Doom show because that was the last time all the Black Knights were on stage together. Knight In Peace.

- Crisis The SharpShooter
[Black Knights / Black Ball'd Ent]

Doc Doom was a cool brother from my experience knowing him and was a solid dude and passionate about his music. It's  definitely an unfortunate loss. Peace to his family and loved ones, and I'll see you again my West side homie. R.I.P.

- Dom Pachino
 [Killarmy / Naplam]

Doc Doom was one of the realest brothers and an ill lyricist! He will be missed!
One thing I remember about Doc Doom is that he always loved a challenge! He never backed down!

 - Prodigal Sunn
[Sunz of Man / G.O.D.z Inc]

When I first came to Long Beach (back in '89), I was fascinated by Doc Doom and S-Man Who used to be called Shawnie-D and M.C. Pace. I grew up with the homies in Long Beach and got to meet Monk and Crisis through Doc Doom in 1994. I stepped out of the fire to do spiritual work. Came back and shit was the same except, they were all Killa Beez now instead of just Nasty Doggs.

I was actually out at the movies with Monk when Doc died. I feel he was my actual brother in all this. I feel as an M.C. he would never be faded by the highest commemorated in the industry because he felt it and held on to his skill sun up, sun down! When he'd get up in the morning, he'd be rapping or writing his lyrics. R.I.P Doc Doom!

- Dexter Wiggle
[Westcoast Killa Beez]

That's what's up with what you are doing for Doc Doom's tribute. R.I.P. to Doc, Peace. 1 Love!

- Islord
[Killarmy]

I was home when I found out Doc Doom was dead, it taught me a lot about the power of choices. RIP

- Chirst Bearer
[Northstar / Yellow Jackets]

I never met him :( and never saw him perform but he was a dope emcee! R.I.P Doc Doom, it's Knights or Nutthin;

- Nova Kane
[American Poets 2099]

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting or working with Doc Doom, but he was a beast on the mic for sure. R.I.P.

Pro The Leader
[American Poets 2099]

Rest in peace to Doc Doom, and I want the world to know that he was one of the greatest freestyle artist to come from the West Coast. I remember once we were all in a freestyle session and I remember him going on for like 2hours straight, we all just kind of set back and listened and let me tell you we were all MCs there but when someone gets in the zone you just got to listen and I'll never forget that. I just wished we had it on tape, West in Peace god, Ya boy, Legend!

- Legend
[Indovizualz / Westcoast Killa Beez]

An unfortunate loss, Doc Doom was family. We were fam way before the Wu shit. The first time I met Doc was when the Black Knights went to the studio and did their  first song ever...  "He was the most flamboyant Knight" ...  Rest In Peace.

- Jules Unique

Doc Doom rest in peace, that’s my boy right there, to me he was the hottest on the m.i.c, ever! He was the hardest on there. The haters that did it are not going to have a good look, know what I’m sayin? I went to my boy’s funeral and all that and it hurt me a lot. I represent Doom every day, the Wu shirt I had on in the picture of my 2nd album has rest in peace Doc Doom in the middle.

Big Supa [West Coast Killa Beez]

3 years ago I was recording a song produced by Bronze Nazareth with one of my favourite groups and allies, almighty Black Knights called “Knights & Armour”. Crisis and Monk had already laid down their verses and Doc was meant to record his in a couple of weeks around the time he got back home from serving time. He was killed before he got to lay his verse. Having done a number of songs with The Knights, I never got the chance to meet or work with Doc Doom unfortunately as i was also a fan but it felt like I knew him personally through his songs and connecting with the Knights.

Recorded a song in 2008 which ended up

being a tribute to Doc Doom. The song was a sequel to a track I have been working on called "Floyd Part 3" and it featured Black Knights (Monk & Crisis), Northstar, Warcloud and Dexter Wiggle. May his soul rest in peace!

- Shaka Amazulu The 7th
[Voodoocore / AfroLafamilia] -
London / England

Yes I knew Doc Doom (RIP) I remember the first time I started recording in the studio with Crisis and Monk they had me sing for him over the phone and it meant a lot to me that he was feeling my style. To all the fans out there Doc Doom is one of the greatest MC's I knew. it's such an honour to have the opportunity to be apart of something he was associated with. (RIP) Doc Doom gone but never forgotten.

 - Pesha aka First Lady of Black Ball'd
[Black Ball'ed Ent]

The first time I ever met Doc Doom was at the Wu Tang Mansion in 2001 when I wasn't affiliated with the Wu movement. He introduced himself to me, that was the night I had a rhyme session with Holocaust. When he was locked up that was when I got involved with the West Coast Killa Beez. When he came out, we were partying at the Black Knights show in Orange County, we spoke for couple of minutes and took a picture.
He was a really nice dude, told him I produced songs for the Black Knights and he wanted to hear my work. Unfortunately a week later he passed away. My crew and I attended his funeral to show our respect. Rest in peace Doc Doom. Knights or nothing!

- Anthai Da Protagonist
[71Raw]

I’ve known Doc Doom since I was a young’n before the rap game. He was an older homie from the clique. A mastermind on and off the mic, a real one.

- Tha Arsinest
[The Committee / Black Ball'd Ent]

From my understanding Doc Doom was the fountain from which all other West Coast Killa Beez have sprung, he was a supporter of true Hip-Hop.

- G-Clef Da Mad Komposa
[Chambermusik CEO]

Rest In Peace Doc Doom, your legacy will live on through us forever, word is bond!

I had the honour to meet Doc Doom a few times and dude had so much charisma and his raw flow is artistic street poetry.. truly a hip hop legend

 Eddie Patino
[Black Ball'd Management/Videos]

Yo, I have to say being affiliated with Wu, Doc Doom was a true general and I hope that everyone shows love to him. Doc Doom, that name goes with my favourite super villain as a child.. but in adult hood Doc Doom the hero.

- D.L.A.H.
[Hellkeydoe / Future Chamberz]

Peace.....What I remember about doc doom was that he was a very down to earth type of guy, He always wanted to just have fun and live life and make good music. I miss Doc Doom a whole lot, he was a great young man and it was an honour to do music with him as well... He will never be forgotten, he will always be loved... As A father, a son, As MY BROTHER!!!! R.I.P Doc Doom "WU-TANG 4 LIFE" !!!!

- Solomon Childs
[Wu Music Group]

Rest in peace my good brother...

- Shyheim
[Bottom Up Records]

I knew Doc Doom before the rap shit as well as on the streets, we were both from the same click and Doc was one of the big homies that was active so all the young homies like myself, Crisis, Arsonist and so on could do nothing but look up to up to him because he was with the business. Doc had a dream that we were on stage with Method Man right about when Wu came out and Method Man dropped his album and was all over the place, after that dream he came to us and said "we need to start a rap group", his dream was real because Wu-Tang Clan is the camp that we all ended up signing to. Doc Doom was  the West Coast's finest.

My favourite moments of Doc Doom was on a tour with the Clan and Doc got into a debate with Method Man on how the Black Knights were the best, Period! Meth asked him if he meant the Knights could serve the Clan members and Doc said Yes! We all spat darts for Meth, and that's where it ended, there were no battles but Meth respected the attitude, the flow and the courage we had that we couldn't be defeated by anybody.

 - Rugged Monk
[Black Knights / Black Ball'd Ent

He was a friend and confidant, a co-worker and a father, a man of creativity and dreams. Doc Doom will forever be missed and loved. Hate to see it happen to the best of us, Keep his son in your prayers, Thanks.

- Maddam Scheez
[West Coast Killa Beez]

We always had a good vibe. If I had a problem we had problem and he taught me that we are one,  no matter what Coast and to go hard every time I go in. I have nothng but love for Doc, for him and his fam. why do the good always have to go early?
