Wu-International: Peace, we will mainly focus on the
Warghost project; can you please tell us how you met Warcloud?
BomShot: I met Warcloud/Holocaust through a producer
named Medic. He Produces for Killah Priest, Beretta 9 and other
Wu-Tang family members. They flew me from Boston to LA to
collaborate and Holocaust came to chill at the studio with us.
We began freestylin and just hit if off. When I returned to
Boston he asked me to form a group with him and came up with the
name Warghosts.
Wu-International: You are saying Warghost was mainly Cloud's
idea?
BomShot: It was mainly Holocaust's idea due to his
Native American heritage and his alias being Warcloud and one of
mine was the Holy Ghost and we came together to form Warghosts,
Which was also a tribe of Native fighters. |
Wu-International:
From what was gathered it seems Warcloud was living out in
Boston with you during the recording of this album, is this true
and how long was he there for?
BomShot: Yes this is true. He lived with me for like
6 months until I became incarcerated at that point we had
recorded the first Warghosts album. I was locked up for 2 years
and when I came home he moved back to Boston again and we
recorded the other Warghosts albums.
Wu-International: Any memorable moments during the
recording you might want to share with us please?
BomShot:
Holocaust is a very unique
individual he used to play loud rock music like Sound Garden and
watch black and white cowboy movies, smoked a ton of weed,
exotic beers and he loved to eat canned smoked oysters. Me, I
handled the business aspect while he rode shotgun and claimed to
absorb the powers of many comic book heroes. It was a blast, you
had to be there.
Wu-International: How long did it take both of you to
finish the album?
BomShot:
The first album we will release last, and the last album was the
one that we just released, We recorded all 10 tracks in 6 days.
The other albums took less than a month due to travelling and
tours.
Wu-International: Why have you called the group/album
Warghost?
BomShot: So
that we could introduce it as a self titled album and yet and
still get our artist recognition.
Wu-International: The beats seemed to be done by some
unknown producers across the globe with Wu influences, how did
you both go about the beat selection?
BomShot: Basically I gathered beats via e-mail
online. These were beats gathered for a period of years that I
felt would fit our direction. So after I narrowed them down to
the ones that I liked, Holocaust then picked the ones that he
liked out of the ones I had selected.
Wu-International: Warcloud tends to use different
persona and egos for different project like Robot Tank,
Holocaust or Alcatraz etc, what persona or style did he display
on this project and was this also the case for you as Bomshot?
BomShot: Throughout the recording process he liked to
be called "The Robot Tank" and he denounced any other title
including The Holocaust, though I feel Warcloud and Alcatraz
were the styles most resembled though, only Holocaust knows what
was going on in his mind.
Wu-International: There were literally no features on
this project apart from your self and Warcloud, any particular
reason for this?
BomShot: We felt we wanted to give people the full
Warghosts experience and like Holocaust said "No one else was
good enough or could rhyme on our level", in which I agree.
Wu-International: What warranted the Jedi Mind Tricks
diss song on the album?
BomShot: It was actually Holocaust’s idea, he knew I
had beef with Jus Allah and Holocaust was very loyal to me so he
made a statement saying that "If Jus Allah got back with Jedi
Mind Tricks, then we would make a song going at them". Jus Allah
got back with the group so we did the song!.
Wu-International: The beef between you and JMT
goes way back but why did Warcloud get involved in the beef as
we are not even certain he has ever met Stoupe, Vinnie Paz or
Jus Allah?
BomShot:
Warcloud has met them before and I didn't have problems with the
whole Jedi Mind Tricks only Jus. We got them involved because
they had re-allied with him after he released interviews saying
that they were gay. I actually toured with them in 2000 that was
before Jus lived with me.
Wu-International: We are trying not to get into the
Jus questions so we will just get back to Warghost. Some of the
songs we initially heard were not included on the album, how
many songs were recorded for this project and was there any
reason the album had only 10 songs?
BomShot: That’s because the other songs were
earlier recordings and will be released next year. There were
only 10 tracks on this album because the tracks were long and we
wanted to bring it back to the Golden era like Eric B and Rakim
"Follow the Leader" album and just make a classic album.
Wu-International:
When are you putting out the first recordings?
BomShot: The album will be released next year,
Warghosts "Into the Bat Lands"
Wu-International: A lot of people say Cloud is a
unique rapper but difficult to work with, how was it working
with Warcloud for this project?
BomShot:
He wasn't difficult working
with me because he respected me, some people just don't
understand his level of creativity. It’s not just in his music
it’s also in his character. He is truly a Brilliant artist and a
genius.
Wu-International: Prior to the formation of the group
there were rumours that the 2 of you fell out and the album
won’t be coming out via numerous Warcloud management and MySpace
accounts, can you please shed more light to this?
BomShot: Partially true, there was an Evil Gargoyle
who tricked him into signing a bogus contract. Nothing ever came
of it, in fact it only held him back. He's locked up now and the
management turned their backs on him, also that manager is
currently deathly ill and on her death bed. This is what happens
when you go against the Warghosts Divine Destiny for it was
written.
Wu-International:
Do you know why Cloud’s locked up and how long for?
BomShot:
He's incarcerated for
fighting and hopefully should be home soon. FREE HOLOCAUST !!!
Wu-International: Album was released digitally, is
there a physical release of this project and if so where can the
fans pick it up from?
BomShot: It was released digitally through Clear
Label Records courtesy of Tajai "Hieroglyphics" and physical
distribution by Napalm Recordings courtesy of "Dom Pachino" (Killarmy).
It should be in most stores where you find hip-hop records. Its
available at
www.undergroundhiphop.com
Wu-International: You said there is a follow up to
this project?
BomShot:
Yes and there is a mixtape to
be released very soon featuring the entire Wu-Tang Clan.
Wu-International: Thanks, you have done Devilz
Reject, Warghost and your solo, any thing else in work or
upcoming you might want to share with us?
BomShot: Look out for Max B Presents Bomshot "Bostonia",
also this winter my debut follow-up "Abominable" will drop. Also
stay tuned for Devil'z Rejects Part 2 "House of 1,000 corpses"
also we are excepting tracks for Warghosts- International which
will be a compilation of artists from around the globe for
submissions so send tracks properly titled to bomshot777@yahoo.com.
Wu-International:
There is a bootleg version of Warghost that's floating around
with just Warcloud verses on it done and your verses chopped off
by die hard Cloud fans, how do you feel about your verses taken
off?
BomShot:
I never heard about that, and
the Warghost album is actually getting a good response
especially in regards to my verses as a lot of fans have been
telling me they don't understand Warcloud and actually tour
promoters have been inviting me on tour without even mentioning
Warcloud even though when Warcloud comes home he is welcome to
tour with me as Warghosts.
Wu-International: Ok, so how would you compare your
style to Holo's?
BomShot: My style is more rough, street and sensible
Holocaust is more abstract and creative which I also feel goes
well together because they are two opposing styles coming
together to please two entirely different genres of hip-hop
Wu-International: How was the album received; sales
wise?
BomShot:
The album is doing well and
sales are good, I actually got up enough money to finally get my
horn implants.
Wu-International: What track on the album were
your favourite and why ?
BomShot:
Me and Holocaust's
favourite track is Track 2 : In the hills of the Dark
Land Tragic because the beat goes hard and we just spaz
out for mad long and it sounds good when you play it in
the dark with candles lit.
Wu-International:
Anything else you like to share with the fans that’s not
already covered, Shout outs, etc?
BomShot:
Shout out to Imperial
skillz, I apologize for leaving him out on the credits
on track 2: In the Hills of the Dark Land tragic and
track 4: Chase the Dragon, Warghosts.com, bomshot.com
and for booking bomshot777@yahoo.com. Hit me up on
